William Vinton Ball better known as Bill, was born on November 25, 1945, in Seattle, Washington to Charles and Virginia Ball. He passed away unexpectedly due to his injuries from a motorcycle accident on October 8, 2020, in Fresno, California at the age of 74 years.

Bill was a proud veteran, that served his country. He served in the United States Navy for 21 years, and did three tours in Vietnam. He kept himself busy he owned and operated Shorty's Bar for over 20 years, he enjoyed being around people and made many long time friends. He was a people person he never met a stranger, he would strike a conversation with anyone. You will always find him in the bar with his cup of coffee. His biggest enjoyment was spending time in the open road riding his motorcycle with his friends or by himself, he definitely loved life on his own terms.

His final resting place will be at Bakersfield National Cemetery
