With a very heavy and broken heart just letting you All know, Family and Friends, My Daddy passed away early Tuesday morning. He left this life peacefully. He is going to be missed!
Wayne A. Garman, 83 years of age.. He was born in Hanford, CA on October 24, 1939, and passed away on April 25, 2023.
His wife Janice Marbut Garman preceded him in death in October 2017. He is survived by four children, Roy Garman Smithland, Kentucky, Sandra L. Garman Hanford CA, Debra Garman Hanford, CA, and Timothy Garman Marion, Kentucky. Two granddaughters, Tiffany Garman Nethery , and Whitney Silva, and a grandson, Brendan Garman . A great grandson Daxtin Silva and a great granddaughter Sailor Silva. Great grandsons Andrew Nethery and Carston Nethery
And Two great great-granddaughters Kensley and Kylee Nethery. A brother Dereklee Garman, and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews, and great great-nieces and great great-nephews.
He lived a fulfilled life. He drove the bus for Hanford Joint Union High School in his Senior year. He managed Powerpak Gas Station for a few years. He was a policeman for six months in Corcoran, CA in 1963, then moved back to Hanford and was a policeman for several years. He was also the dog catcher. He retired from the Hanford Police Department in 1978. He then moved to Visalia in 1982 and was a State Humane Officer for several more years. He retired from the Tulare County Humane Society in 2004. He volunteered at Custom Computers and became friends with Dave Whisler .
He enjoyed working on the computers, He became quite computer savvy and was able to get his families computers running again or just fixing a minor issue that we may have.
He was also a preacher for several years. He preached for many pastors through the years and took a church in Pismo Beach, CA for a while. He moved back to Hanford in 2012 and lived a peaceful life with his wife and daughters.
He loved to hunt and fish. He loved to work on cars and worked on family cars when they would break down. All the children loved him.
He was loved and respected by both the good citizens of Hanford and the criminal aspect. It would blow our minds that someone he had put in jail would stop him and talk to him. He was an amazing individual, and he is going to be missed!
