Trinidad "Trinie"
Sotelo Balver
June 12, 1927 – November 20, 2023
Trinidad Sotelo Balver
Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother peacefully left this world on November 20, 2023. His earthly presence is celebrated and cherished by all. He is remembered of one of the most beautiful and kind souls, a man who brought love and happiness to those around him.
Born on June 12, 1927, in Corcoran, California to Zacarías and Paula Balver, he spent most of his youth attending school and working alongside his seven siblings. He worked tirelessly in the farm labor industry in the Central Valley in California. As a young man, he was later called upon to serve his country in World War II, proudly and honorably carrying out his duties as a serviceman in the United States Army Air Corps. After basic training stateside, he was stationed abroad in Europe, where he later earned an honorable discharge for service to his country upon the fulfillment of his duties.
Upon his return, he married his love Ramona Aguilar of Laton. They started a family, in which he so naturally became a loving husband and provider. Never far from his guitar, he became a much sought after entertainer performing songs with his rich tenor voice. He was accompanied in harmony by his beloved wife Ramona, together forming an art, blessing those around with their voices. Many of which, who can remember to this day. As the years progressed, he also found enjoyment in cooking, gardening, tending to his roses and sharing his time with friends and loved ones. He did all with nothing but smiles and laughter.
This wonderful and humble man is survived by his brother Peter Balver of Laton, four children: Rachel Balver of Hanford, Rosemary Vargas of Hanford, Joseph Balver of Hanford, Daniel Balver of Selma, his ten grandchildren, and thirty great grandchildren.
He is preceded in passing by his parents, his six siblings, his son Albert Medina of Bakersfield and his beautiful and devoted wife, Ramona.
Along with our heavy hearts, we give this exceptional man into God's loving care, and reflect with fondness all the love he gave and leaves behind.
