Obituary

Stella Lopez, born May 24, 1947, left this world with the same flair she brought to every day of her life — probably shaking her head at all of us and insisting she was "just resting."

Stella was the proud mother of five successful children: Nicho, Monica, Kenny, Michell, and Nikky. Nicho and Monica are retired Navy Veterans. She loved each of them fiercely, even when they tested her patience, her sanity, and her ability to keep a straight face. Somehow, she managed to raise five very different humans while maintaining her sense of humor.

She leaves behind 10 grandchildren and three great‑grandchildren, all of whom she adored, spoiled, and occasionally lectured with the kind of honesty only she could deliver. They will forever remember her laugh, her one‑liners, and the way she could make even the simplest moment feel like a memory worth keeping.

Born into a big, lively family, Stella was one of twelve siblings, a role she embraced with loyalty, humor, and heart. She was a great sister and a true friend, always ready with advice, a laugh, or a well‑timed reality check. She was also a wonderful aunt to her many nieces and nephews, who adored her for her warmth, her honesty, and her unforgettable personality.

She had a sharp wit, a big heart, and a stubborn streak that could outlast just about anything. She told the truth plainly, loved loudly, and had a talent for turning everyday moments into stories her family will be repeating forever.

Stella was also a woman of strong loyalties — especially when it came to the Raiders. Whether they were winning, losing, or causing her blood pressure to spike, she cheered them on with the passion of a true fan. When she wasn't coaching the team from her living room, she could be found enjoying crossword puzzles or keeping up with her beloved soap operas.

Stella will be deeply missed, joyfully and lovingly remembered for generations.
