Stanley Kent Jorgenson was born on April 18, 1949, and passed away on July 3, 2024, at the age of 75.

Stanley, known to most as "Stan," was born in Hanford, Ca. to his parents, Adolph and Violet Jorgenson and resided there until his death. He was the second of four children.

Stanley was a 1967 graduate of Hanford High School. Excelling in math and science, he graduated with high honors. His college years would span throughout the course of his life, studying in the areas of anthropology, linguistics, and psychology. Stanley was a very deep thinker who enjoyed writing and engaging in intellectual conversations.

Coming from a long family line of carpenters, Stanley was a craftsman finished carpenter who was well known for his impeccable carpentry skills. He spent many summers in North Dakota visiting relatives and working for the family carpentry business.

Stanley enjoyed many hobbies including hiking, cross-country skiing, playing poker, and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed videography, capturing priceless moments at family gatherings and events.

Stanley is preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Violet Jorgenson; sister, Monica Tullis; and two sons, Derek and Daniel Jorgenson. He is survived by sisters, Starla (Tom) Barton and Brenda (Jim)Cripe of
Hanford, Ca.; daughters, Sonja (Andrew)Meyer of Hanford, Ca. and Lauren (Neal Horsely) of Kingsburg, Ca.; grandsons, Benjamin and Samuel Meyer; granddaughters, Jasmine Meyer and Moriah Horsely. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He will be missed by the many who loved and cared for him.

The family will hold a graveside service at Oak Grove Cemetery on Monday, July 15th at
10:00 a.m.
