Saul Chavez Mejia was born in Michoacán, Mexico to Elijio  Chavez Tabera and Amalia Mejia Ferrera on February 22, 1941.  He entered into eternal rest on July 1, 2021, in Hanford, California at the age of 80 years.

He was a hard worker and started working at a young age to help his parents, he had the opportunity to come to the United States and took a leap of faith to give his family a better life. He married the love of his life Paulina Andrade Silva and together they had eight children. Some of his enjoyments were; working as a farmer after his retirement he still had his garden were he grew cactus, chiles, tomatillos, spending time with this family and friends, the thing that he just loved doing was dancing and listening to music.

He is survived by his children, Samuel, Benjamin, Rogelio, Griselda, Soledad, Raquel, Erica and Maribel; his 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; his two brothers, Arnulfo and Salvador; two sisters, Gregoria and Clara.

He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Saul Chávez Mejía nació en Michoacán, México hijo de Elijio Chávez Tabera y Amalia Mejia Ferrera el 22 de febrero de 1941. Entró al descanso eterno el 1 de julio de 2021 en Hanford, California a la edad de 80 años.

Fue un gran trabajador y comenzó a trabajar desde muy joven para ayudar a sus padres, tuvo la oportunidad de venir a los Estados Unidos y dio un salto de fe para darle a su familia una vida mejor. Se casó con el amor de su vida Paulina Andrade Silva y juntos tuvieron ocho hijos. Algunos de sus placeres fueron; trabajando como agricultor después de su jubilación todavía tenía su jardín donde cultivaba cactus, chiles, tomatillos, pasar tiempo con esta familia y amigos, lo que le encantaba hacer era bailar y escuchar música.

Le sobreviven sus hijos Samuel, Benjamín, Rogelio, Griselda, Soledad, Raquel, Erica y Maribel; sus 21 nietos y 16 bisnietos; sus dos hermanos, Arnulfo y Salvador; dos hermanas, Gregoria y Clara.

Su familia y amigos lo extrañarán mucho.
