Obituary

Ryan "Ryno" Whaley
January 24, 1965 – August 17, 2025

Ryan "Ryno" Whaley, 60, of Coalinga, California, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born on January 24, 1965, in Southern California, Ryan lived a full life centered around family, laughter, and the great outdoors.

Ryan spent many hardworking years in the oil fields, known for his grit, dedication, and strong work ethic. Outside of work, he was in his element when fishing, camping, barbequing, watching football (always cheering on his beloved Steelers), or catching a NASCAR race. He loved nothing more than being surrounded by good food, good people, and a whole lot of laughs.

A natural jokester, Ryan had a way of lighting up every room he entered. He never missed an opportunity to crack a joke, share a story, or make someone smile. He dreamed of traveling the world one day but found his greatest adventures in the moments spent with his loved ones.

Ryan is survived by his loving wife, Rosie; his daughter, Tayler; stepchildren, Matt and Alana; his cherished grandchildren, Loki, Zowie, Peighton, and Blake; his siblings, Tracy, Terri, Ginger, and Gerald; and his beloved pets, Petey, Wolfie, Layla and Mouse. He also leaves behind many extended family and friends who will deeply miss his presence, his humor, and his big heart.

Ryan's legacy is one of laughter, love, and loyalty. He lived life on his own terms and made it count.
