Ron was born in Woodlake, California to Dixon and Betty Jo Harrell on November 2, 1948. He passed away peacefully at home on June 30, 2021 in the presence of his loving wife and daughter while they held his hands.

He attended Sequoia Union Elementary School in Lemon Cove, California. He graduated in 1966 from Exeter High School. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1967. He was a Security Police Officer stationed at Ellsworth A.F.B. in South Dakota. He served a tour of duty at several locations in Viet Nam. Upon his return to the States, he was stationed at Mather Air Force Base in Sacramento, California.

He met his wife Susie there and they married on January 23, 1971 in Reno, Nevada. Upon his discharge in August of 1971, he and Susie made their home in Lemon Cove, California. He worked for Lemon Cove Association as a straddle-lift driver transporting fruit to various packing houses. In 1973 he became a police officer with Woodlake Police Department.

Their daughter, Stacy, was born on March 24, 1974. They moved to Exeter in 1975 where he became a police officer for that city. Their son, Kevin, was born on January 12, 1977. He retired from Exeter Police Department in 1994 and the family moved in 1995 to Ennis, Montana. In 2003 he and Susie moved to Gardnerville, Nevada where they lived at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Susie; his daughter, Stacy of Gardnerville, Nevada; his grandson, Brock of Visalia; his daughter-in-law, Kenille of Visalia; his sister, Sheila King of Reedley (husband, John); his Aunt Pat Eliseo of Santa Maria; his Aunt Carlyn  Ashlock of Oregon: his sister-in-law, Mary Revland of Texas (husband Jerry); his sister-in-law, Kathy Dooley of Tennessee And Susan Harrell of North Fork,Ca.(Ricks wife) ; his brother-in-law, Jack Dooley of South San Francisco (wife Colleen); his nephews: Rick Harrell of Clovis, Scott Harrell of Fresno (wife Veronica), Shane King of Reedley (wife Susie), Jeff Revland of Texas (wife Tracy), and Rick Revland of Texas; his niece, Lisa Bissett of Fresno (husband Brian). He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Kevin, and his brother, Rick.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on September 11, 2021 at Yost & Webb Funeral Home at 1002 T Street, Fresno, California 93721.
