RICHARD (RICK) JAMES HOOK

Born in Tulare, CA on February 1, 1948, to James L. and Pauline Hook. Rick passed away at home unexpectedly on May 28, 2025, at the age of 77years. He lived in Kings County for 65 years and graduate from Corcoran High School in 1966. After a brief stint at College of the Sequoias he enlisted in the Army from Mar 13, 1968, to Mar 12,1970 on the front lines of the Vietnam war for several months before being honorably discharged. Rick returning home, worked at the Grain and Milling Company then onto Salyer Co. ending up as a maintenance Supervisor for the J.G. Boswell company where he medically retired in the early 2000's. Rick became a 100% disabled Vietnam veteran.

He was an avid car collector, being a member of the Lake Bottom Cruisers in Corcoran and also the KARR Car Club hosted by Cris Gonzalez. He attended many shows with his cars and brought home many trophies of his cars that were entered.

Rick is survived by his wife Charlene of 47 years, 1 son Jimmy (Emily) 1 grandson Kade, 2 brothers Ron (Dolores) of Corcoran, CA Bob (Sharon) of Reno, NV 1 sister CarolAnn (Chris) of Clovis, CA Several nieces and nephews also great nieces and nephews.

Rick was proceeded in death by his parents.

There will be Graveside services at Corcoran cemetery at 10:00 on June 24, 2025.

Arrangements under the direction of Yost & Webb Funeral Care, services will be officiated by pastor Frank Caudell and wife Teresa.
