Pete "Tito"
M. Suniga
April 12, 1960 – February 2, 2021
Pete "Tito" Suniga, 60, gained his wings on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. Pete was born April 12, 1960 in Hanford, California to Pedro and Sally Suniga. Pete planted his roots in Hanford and attended local schools.
Pete served in the U.S. Marines and was stationed at Twenty Nine Palms Marine Corps Air Base. He was a proud Marine and made every attempt to share his knowledge and stories about his years of service, but most of all he enjoyed developing others as soldiers through discipline or push-ups.
Pete was employed at the Kings County Fairgrounds for 32 years followed by retirement in 2014. He looked forward to attending the statewide annual Maintenance Mania conventions which usually resulted in him coming home with a trophy of some sort. Pete took pride in his work and dedicated his time and energy to make sure the yearly fair was successful. Long hours and hard work did not keep him from enjoying time with family and friends.
Pete enjoyed vacationing in Santa Cruz, playing his guitar, and listening to music from The Eagles, Santana, Journey, and many more.
Pete was no stranger to anyone and was well liked by those who knew him because of his honesty, integrity, sense of humor and compassion to help others. Pete will be missed but his stories and the memories he left behind will be with us for many years to come.
Pete is survived by his wife Gloria of 10 years, his son Arthur Suniga, daughter and son-in-law Vanessa and Andrew Diaz of Vacaville, 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Pedro and Sally Suniga, and his brother Joey Suniga.
