With saddened hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Paul J. Mattos, who was born July 6, 1948, in Hanford, California, to James and Lucille Mattos. He entered into eternal rest on May 13, 2025, at the age of 76 years in Visalia, California surrounded by family and friends.

Paul graduated from Hanford High School in 1967; he attended college for a few years. He entered the work force and started working at the Naval Base in Lemoore and from there he found what would be his lifelong career. He worked for a janitorial company, Service Master, and was a custodian for Hanford PD, DMV, the Bank. He was a hard worker and dedicated to his job.

Paul had a big heart, and he was an exceptional brother to his only sister Pat, which they did almost everything together. Paul had a special place for his nephew James Brummett. He enjoyed tranquility and was a devoted catholic. He loved adventures and getting to know new places, he went on fourteen cruises and was always open to trying new foods. Paul loved spending time with his four-legged friend, Sasha.

He is survived by his sister, Pat, and his nephew James.  He was preceded in death by his father James and mother Lucille Mattos.

Recitation of the Rosary will be held, May 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., at St. Brigid's Catholic Church.
