Naomi {Norma} Cosby

September 21, 1948 – December 1, 2025

Naomi Cosby was born on September 21, 1948, in Los Angeles California. Naomis father was, Richard Rodriguez and her loving mother was, Ruth Dominguez who recently passed away on September 22, 2025, which was only one day after Naomi was born. Naomi passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025, in Handford California at the age of 77 years young. Naomi is survived by her daughter, Rachel Casillas and her son, Thomas Perez.  Naomi has three siblings, Salvador Chico, Flora Chico and her late brother, Genero Chico who sadly passed away in 2021.

Naomi was well known for her spicy personality. Although she was a very private person, she also had a great sense of humor. She loved to watch old movies, shop at thrift stores, going to yard sales and she loved to buy shoes. If you knew her, you may've heard her refer to herself as being a foodie, her favorite dish was chicken. Her favorite quote… "Don't worry be happy."

Although Naomi passed away in Hanford California, she recently moved from California City, California in August of 2024 to live with and be cared for by her daughter Rachel Casillas and son in-law Robert Casillas in her final days of life. Naomi had spent many years living in California City, California, that was where she had many loving friends, her congregation was called, The California City Congregation of California City CA. Her congregation took care of her during her time of need before she moved away to be with her family in her last moments of life. We are forever grateful for love and kindness she was shown from them all. A special note from her daughter Rachel and her son in-law Robert …

We loved you and we'll miss you every day of our lives. Although our hearts are broken by your absence, we know, you're only sleeping. We will see you again at the resurrection…

Revelation 21: 4

And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away…
