Peacefully and surrounded by her family, our precious mother, Margaret D Estrella, passed away on February 7, 2022, at 88 years. She was born February 10, 1933, in Erie, Colorado, to Erasto Alvarez and Aurelia (Deanda) Alvarez.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and auntie. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. Being with her family was what our mother enjoyed most of all. One of her favorite things to do was to spend time cooking, listening to her music, and visiting with family and friends in her kitchen. She loved to sew and tell stories of her childhood growing up in Colorado to all who would listen. She left us with the best gift a mother could give- her unconditional love.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Erasto Alvarez and Aurelia (Deanda) Alvarez, her brother Gregory Alvarez, her sisters Virginia Valles and Annie Dominguez. Also preceding her were her son's Felix A Estrella and Benjamin (Benny) Estrella.

She is survived by her Sons John Solorio (Carrie) and George Solorio (Lynette), daughters Sarah Estrella, Jennie Olea, Mary Ribera, and Margo Perkins (Dan), along with 12 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. As well as numerous extended family members.
