Juanita Ortiz, a longtime resident of Huron, Ca, passed away on Thursday August 1, 2024, at the age of 84. Juanita was born to Paz and Anita Urbina on September 26, 1939, in Hidalgo, Texas. She was the 4th child of 13 and had 6 brothers and 6 sisters. In 1959 Juanita married her husband, Villardo Ortiz and in 1972 they moved to Huron where they raised eight children.

Juanita loved to play bingo. She especially loved to take trips, whether it was over to the coast for the day or off to Vegas for the weekend. She was always happy when her kids and grandkids would spend time with her.

Juanita is survived by her partner Rafael Magdaleno of Huron, CA, her children, Anita Esqueda (Leonard) of Fresno, CA, Maria Avina (Francisco) of Huron, CA, Villardo Ortiz Jr. of Huron, CA, Rosalind Green (Michael) of Pensacola, FL, Frank Ortiz (Carmen) of Coalinga, CA, Alex Ortiz (Cheramie) of Coalinga, CA, and Gustavo Ortiz (Juana) of Lemoore, CA, 24 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Villardo Ortiz and her oldest son Arnulfo Urbina Cadena.

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday August 13, 2024, at Saint Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Huron, CA. Memorial Service at 9:00AM, Rosary at 9:30AM, Mass at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at the Lemoore Cemetery, in Lemoore, CA.
