Obituary

Josephine "Jo" Saldivar was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She left this world on September 3, 2023, at age 91.

Jo was born to Joseph and Adeline Archuleta on February 26, 1932, and was the eldest of 13. She was known for her witty and sarcastic personality, always making others laugh. She was a very active member in the Catholic Church and worked at the church until she retired. She was a great cook and often made delicious meals for her family, especially her "papas" (breakfast potatoes). She loved gambling and never passed up the opportunity to go to a casino. She also loved the ocean and had to sleep with the windows open to hear the waves crashing every time she was at the coast. She also always had to walk on the beach with her toes in the water. Even up until a couple of months before her death when she could no longer travel, she expressed her desire and hope to make it back to the coast one day.

Jo is preceded in death by her husband, Alex Saldivar, who died in 2021. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Lydia and Harry Angioli; her four grandchildren: Rich, Jerome (and his wife Tina), Shanda, and Kyle Angioli; her three great-grandchildren: Skyler, Damon (and his wife Grayson), and McKenzie Angioli; her great-great granddaughter Alayah Gomez; and her soon-to-be great-great-grandchildren Emma Huffman and Roman Angioli. She is also survived by her two siblings: Genevieve Magnia (and her husband Lupe) and Frank Archuleta (and his wife Laura). She also left behind numerous nephews and nieces.

Also, a special thank you to Infinite Heart Hospice workers. Jo very much enjoyed your company and could not wait for each one of you to stop by. The family is very thankful for all of you and appreciate everything that you did for "sassy Jo." The family would also like to say thank you to her caregivers, especially Brianna, who made Jo very happy.

The family would also like to thank Yost and Webb Funeral Care for handling both Jo and Alex with dignity when taking them into their care.  A special thank you to Veronica Fuerte for her kindness and guidance.
