John Cornelius Duyst, 90, went to be with our Lord and Savior, March 14, 2021. He was born December 31, 1930 in Hanford, CA, the son of Cornelius and Hattie Duyst. He married Margaret Stryd on April 10, 1953. He grew up working on his parent's farm until he was drafted into the Marines and served honorably in the Korean War until he was wounded and sent home . After recovering from his wounds he took over his father's business and began working on the dairy. When he wasn't milking cows, you could find him listening and talking to people around the world on his HAM radio or listening to music in his favorite chair. He is remembered for his quiet nature, his love of classical music, his mischievous smile and infectious laugh. He is survived by his wife Margaret, son Alan, and his spouse Clare, and his daughter Terri, and her spouse Lynn along with his grandchildren, Joel, Jordan, Ashley, Emily, Grace, Julia and Lydia, and nine great grandchildren who he loved dearly. On March 23 there will be a graveside service at the Hanford Cemetery at 10 am for the family only.  A memorial service will follow at the Christian Reformed Church at 2 pm, 2175 Leoni Dr., Hanford, CA.
