In loving memory of Gloria Valdez Duran, born May 9, 1935, and passed away June 11, 2026. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnny, and her son, Victor. She is survived by her daughter Laura and husband Tim; her son John and wife Maria; and her son Greg and wife Belinda. She leaves behind nine cherished grandchildren and twelve beloved great-grandchildren.Gloria was deeply proud of her 27 years as an instructional aide at Kit Carson School, touching countless young lives. For 20 years, she played and managed the Hanford Aces softball team, and she was inducted into the Hanford High School Softball Hall of Fame in 2012. She kept the community active as an aerobics instructor at the Senior Center, volunteered in ESL and citizenship classes, and was honored as Kings County Classified Employee of the Year. Beyond her work and volunteering, Gloria found joy in painting, cooking, gardening, and crocheting. She loved her aerobics classes, enjoyed bowling, and cherished playing cards with friends and family. She was also lovingly accompanied by her faithful dog, Suzie, who brought her joy and comfort every day. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will remain in our hearts forever.
