Francisco "Pancho"
Lopez Solorio
July 18, 1946 – June 2, 2025
Francisco Lopez Solorio was born in Ticuitaco Michoacán, Mexico, on July 18, 1946, to Jesus Lopez Ruiz and Consuelo Solorio. He was a man who took pride in his work. His first employment was in Five Points, California, as an irrigator. He began working at Boston Ranch in 1967 and held various jobs over the years, including irrigation, ginning, operating equipment such as a hoist truck, grader, pipe loader, and backhoe. His final position was as a field leadman in the equipment department. After 46 years of service at JG Boswell, he retired without missing a single day of work. Francisco's true cowboy hobbies were raising livestock, including cattle, bulls, goats, chickens, pigs, and peacocks. He also loved watching cowboy movies, listening to Mexican country music, and learning from the Discovery Channel. He was a handsome cowboy who always dressed to impress, had a smile in the morning, sang and whistled, and was a man of few words but whose words were filled with wisdom. He always gave his family the best education about life and business. Francisco often said, "Never leave what you can do today for tomorrow." He has always strived for us to have our homes and marriages. He is the smartest man I know, coming from a generation where his word was bond. If he said it, he meant it. He was a responsible family man, ensuring that his mother, wife, children, and grandchildren never lacked food, a roof over their heads, or clothes on their backs. Family was important to him, and after his retirement, he was always present in his grandchildren's lives, attending every event. Francisco was a generous man who always came to the aid of those in need. He was our family's solid foundation. He passed away on June 2, 2025, but his memory will forever remain alive through his loving wife, Estella Lopez, his daughter, Lorena, and his son, Panchin. He will be remembered through his 8 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and his remaining 3 brothers, Benjamin, Vicente, and Abel.
