Felipe Vazquez
Medina
September 20, 1977 – June 3, 2022
Felipe Vazquez Medina, son of Jose Carmen Vazquez and Francisca Medina. Was born in Guanajuato Mexico on September 20, 1977, and his life was cut short in a tragic traffic accident June 3, 2022.
Felipe was a man of many trades, he loved to read and graduated from Fresno State with a bachelors' in accounting. He also became a Peace Officer at West Hills. He accomplished his lifelong dream of having his own business as a public notary and loan signing agent. Felipe never wanted to stop learning, he was also a real estate investor and his most recent goal was to learn how to trade in the stock market. He also had his commercial truck driver's license and worked for Kings Orchards, Kennys Heating and Air, and Coalinga School District. He loved to volunteer at Kings Community Action Center to prepare taxes for people for free. He also volunteered to feed the needy at Saint Vincent de Paul. This man had a heart of gold, always on the run from one project to the next.
He met the love of his life Candi Vazquez, at a family party in Laton CA. They married July 10, 2003, and were later blessed with the birth of their daughter Dharma Paola (15) and son Rey Felipe (13).
Felipe wrote his eulogy for a class assignment in 2014 and it reads:
When I am gone from this world, I want to be remembered as a good contributor to society. I liked to help the needy. I also want to be a role model for my kids, so they can be proud of who their dad was.
I am a person who made a difference and left a legacy for my family and good reputation. I want my children to follow the same path I showed them, to pursue their dreams and be successful in their life time.
I also want to be remembered as the first one in my family who obtained a degree in a foreign country. With perseverance many things are possible, to achieve our personal goals.
I helped and gave advice to people that were lost in their lives path, and helped them find the right direction to be successful members of society.
Felipe was a great son, father, husband, brother, neighbor, and friend. You will forever be missed, until we meet again.
