Douglas David Hemingway, 62 years old, of Hanford, California, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 20th, after fighting to recover from a stroke in January. Doug was born on December 2, 1961, to Harold and Kay Hemingway, in Hanford, California. He graduated from Riverdale Joint Union High School in 1981. Doug was an agriculture inspector for the USDA for over 20 years.

Doug was predeceased by his father, Harold. He is survived by his mother Kay, his three sisters Stephany Hemingway, Sharon Hemingway, and Rebecca Barman, his brother-in-laws Travis Barman and David Timson, his niece Brittany Barman, and his two nephews Chad Whitaker and Chase Barman.

Doug had many interests and hobbies. He was a talented chef and gardener. He also loved reading, writing poetry, and studying the Bible. He was a kind and loving person, with an enormous capacity for caring about others. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A graveside service will be held for Doug on Friday, April 26th, at Oak Grove Cemetery, at 11:00 a.m..
