Clara
Sanchez
November 26, 1931 – June 5, 2022
On Sunday June 5, 2022, Clara Sanchez, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away in her home at the age of 90. Clara Sanchez was born in Hanford on November 26, 1931, to Aurelia and Henry Rodriguez.
Clara was a lifelong resident of Hanford and graduated from Hanford High in 1951. She married her high school sweetheart Samuel Sanchez that same year and had their first daughter Susan in 1952. They had their second and last child, Sammi in 1959.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Clara. She enjoyed car rides that lead to nowhere, spending time with her grandchildren & great grandchildren and had a passion for painting and sewing. Her home is full of wooden, canvas and paper paintings she has created throughout the years of her life.
Clara loved her husband Sam unconditionally. They recently celebrated 70 years of marriage.
Clara had what her family would call "famous sayings." Her grandsons would almost always hear "Mijo what are you going to do?" and her husband would always hear "oh no!" She brought laughter to her entire family in almost all situations.
Clara was preceded in death by her mother, Aurelia and her father Henry, sister Lillian Calderon and brother Johnny Rodriguez. She is survived by her husband Samuel Sanchez, her two children, Susan Flores, Sammi Brieno, her grandchildren, Bryan Brieno, Brandon Brieno, Sam Brieno, and her great grandchildren, Aiden Brieno, Kaitlyn Brieno, Keagon Brieno, Kennedy Brieno and Kolton Brieno and her sisters Lucy Alvarado, Joan Rodriguez, and her brother Henry Rodriguez.
A memorial for Clara will be announced at a later date.
