Our beloved mom, grandmother, great-grandmother has gone to rest. Carmen Salinas was born in Guanajuato, Mexico on November 1, 1935, to Tomas Vasquez and Teresa Prieto. She entered into eternal rest at the age of 84, in Fresno, California.

She was a great mother, always there for her two daughter's, even after working all day at the fields she would come home to cook, clean and  made sure that we were taken care of. She was a simple woman that dedicated her life to her family and God. She had a strong and courageous attitude toward life, no matter what come her way she found solutions and made the situation simple. She kept to her self and was a private person, she would say that she didn't have time to gossip.

She will be missed dearly by her surviving family her daughters, Nancy Evelia Salinas and Carmen Salinas; grandchildren, Michael & Gloriela; great grandchildren Jordan & Xaiden; two brothers, Simon Vasquez and Jose Luis Vasquez; her sister Guadalupe Retamosa.
