Honoring the Life of Bryson King "BK" Miller

September 28, 1948-December 17, 2023

"I have fought the good fight, I have run the race, I have kept the faith."

On the morning of December 17, 2023, Bryson "BK" Miller passed away quietly at home surrounded by his family. BK, a man who wore many hats; will be greatly missed. A devoted husband, father, grandpa, brother, and veteran was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Miller, and Violet Freeman, as well as his beloved grandparents Bud and Myrtle Capps, and grandpa Coy Freeman.

BK was born September 28, 1948, in Bend, Oregon. He spent many happy childhood days in the woods behind his grandparents' home there. (Later as an adult he would take his wife Linda and their daughters to the Oregon coast for many fond summer vacations with Grandma and Grandpa Capps).

Eventually, his family relocated to California, finally landing in Lemoore where he graduated from high school in 1966. Shortly after graduating BK joined the Army and was sent to Vietnam where he became and aviation special mechanic on the Sky Crane Helicopter. Those were Pivotal years for BK who carried out his duties as a service man honorably. As a veteran his love and support of the US military never wavered. In recent years he and his wife Linda never missed a Sky Crane reunion wherever it took them.

After returning home BK met and married the love of his life; Linda, on May 20, 1974. The two were never far from each other. They spent most of the early years raising their three daughters: Inez, Tonia and Dawn in San Jose, Ca. BK was a truck driver for Alum Rock Cheese at the time, but in 1989 they relocated to Hanford, CA where they have remained until the present. BK was well known in the community from serving countless customers at Hanford Auto Dismantling and Hanford Auto Repair. He was also seen regularly at the Green Valley Café having breakfast with his wife Linda or accompanied by his grandkids; Abby and Ray and always served by their daughter Tonia.

BK joined the American Legion in Hanford as well, and as a Veteran he continued his service to our country. While a member he was instrumental in having the "tank" brought to Hanford and having the canon in front of the Legion building restored. You could be sure he attended every Flag Day, Memorial Day or Veteran's Day Celebration.

As a mechanic and a "car guy" he also loved classic cars, late models, motorcycles and just about anything on two or four wheels. He spent countless hours in his life helping others with car issues, and riding in the wind.

BK loved building models and spent hours on Ancestry. Com studying and journaling his family history. He has blessed us all with his endless knowledge and stories. We will miss greatly, seeing him sitting in his spot on the couch, wearing one of his favorite baseball caps and reading a book is where you would most likely find him. But what stands out above all the rest was his love for his wife Linda whom he fondly called "Red". His devotion to his kids and grandkids and his concern for his brother's and sister's. Family was his greatest treasure in life and the love of Linda that spanned 49 years, was behind all that he did. His family gently held his hand and heart until he left this earth.

Therefore, it seems fitting to devote this space by saying he is survived by his By his wife, of 49 years Linda Miller, daughters; Inez (Dan) Wilburn from Newbury, Fl., Tonia (Steve) Salyer of Hanford and Dawn (Tim) Pust of Chatanooga TN., Six beloved grandchildren; Nick, Wayne, Morganna, Vivianne, Abigail and Ray and four brothers and sisters all from Hanford, CA, Steve (Jackie) Miller, Doug (Lisa) Hall, Christine White and Denise (Ron) Hurt.

A profound thank you to the VA hospital in Fresno, CA for all your unwavering care and support. And to Alex Nava at the Kings County Veteran's Service office for going above and beyond in helping BK and Linda.
