Brenda L
John
December 26, 1940 – February 23, 2022
Brenda L. (Mathis) John, 81 was born on December 26th, 1940, to Johnnie and Margaret Mathis in Greene Co. Arkansas. She passed away on Wednesday, February 23rd, in Lemoore, California.
Our mother was a very strong person she outlived four children, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild and managed to keep her head up. She was a very talented interior decorator, our friends would see our house and thought that we were rich, and we would just laugh. She worked in a Laboratory for several years, testing hay and soil for local dairies. For a few years she took care of the Hanford Mayor's wife. He loved her so much, that he left her an inheritance at his passing. Some of moms' enjoyments were going to the beach, the lake on the houseboat, camping in the mountains with her family. Our mother's biggest accomplishment in life was raising six children, mostly on her own. She was a stern mom, kept us in line, and we love her for it.
She leaves behind her daughters, Debbie Null of Armona and Gena (John) Meeler of Lemoore; sisters, Carolyn Palmer of Arkansas, Patricia Haile of Idaho and Micki Gross of Oregon; her cousin and best friend Patsy Smith of Corcoran; Sixteen grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren and five-great-great-grandchildren. For a total of 60 living branches of her family tree. She loved every single visit and was proud of everyone of them.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby John; three brothers; three sisters; her children, Cindy Davis of Hanford, Kimberly John, Tammi Denson and Tommy Nichols, all of Armona; grandchildren, Chad Raper of Hanford and Tiffany Roberts of Washington; Great-grandson Kaleb Null of Armona.
Rest in peace our loving mother and grandmother, we love you and miss you so much.
