Obituary

Obituary of Albert Felipe Martinez. Albert Felipe Martinez was born on May 26th 1935 in Rosa New Mexico. He died August 11th,2026 surrounded by family members. Albert was born to John and Isabel Martinez. He was next to youngest in a family of five children. He was raised in Arboles,Colorado by his maternal grandparents Eligia and Vincent Sanchez. He graduated from Ignacio High School in the town of the same name. He got his Bachelor of Arts degree from Adams State College in 1960.He got his Master's degree from the University of Kansas. He got his P.H.D. from University of Pacific. He taught at schools in Nebraska and California. Also was a Vice Pricipal at John Muir School in Corcoran, California. Was in the army mostly stationed in Korea. While Attending Adams State College met and married Norma Sturdevant. Together they raised five Children,Martin, Marcia, Jay,Michael and Lewis.They had nine Grandchildren, Brandon, Alisa,Brigitte,Jianna,Jason,Jonathan, Anthony,Rosalinda,and Christopher. Three Great Grandchildren, Nathan Vang, Soren and Caius Albert Crockett. Was a loving Husband,Father, and Grandfather. Loved Music. He and Normas's favorite song was Dream Lover by Bobby Darin.They thought of it as their song. He loved golfing with family and friends. One of his traditions was putting up the scoreboard on Super Bowl Days. Loooked forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas when the whole family got together. One of his favorite things to do was seeing the Dinosaur tracks near Tuba City, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parent's John and Isabel Martinez, sisters, Ophelia Enriquez, Adonelia Mascarenas Louise Martinez and his Brother Joseph Martinez.He is survived by his wife Norma and their children and grandchildren. And nieces and Nephews.
