Aileen E. Mendes, age 91, was called home by our faithful Lord on May 13, 2023. Born March 28, 1932, to William & Martha Royer, Aileen, aka Grandma or Granny Goose, to all who knew her was a unique, strong, and caring lady who touched the lives of those around her. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Bill Royer, her husband Joseph Mendes, and her son Joe Mendes Jr. She is survived by six of her siblings, Noami Andrews of Fresno, CA, Elnore Kiespert of Fresno, CA, Glory B Vartian-Harkness of Bass Lake, CA, Mary Royer of Fresno, CA, E.J. Royer of Georgia, and Beverly Weekes of Arizona, her daughter Rosemary Casey of Burrel CA, her daughter and son in law, Joann & Johnny Tacherra of Burrel Ca, five grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild coming in August, and a host of family and friends. She loved all of those she knew and was loved by all who knew her. Services will be held on May 22,2023 at Glad Tidings Church at 750 E Grangeville Blvd, Hanford CA 93230. Visitation is at 9:30am. The service will be at 10:00am. Interment to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery located at 19811 Cedar St. Laton, CA 93242.
