Abel Leon Sr., 65, of Corcoran died peacefully at home with family by his side November 11.
Abel was born in Hanford on May 29, 1956, to Lucy Bravo Leon and Pete Villasenor Leon.
He graduated from Corcoran High School, attended College of the Sequoias and worked as a maintenance mechanic.

He had a bright and energetic personality. He loved music. He touched the lives of many with his generosity. Abel lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with friends and family and especially with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his five children, Abel Leon Jr., Leslie Ochoa, Marcella Mendoza, Anthony Leon, and Cassandra Leon; and six grandchildren.
Abel is greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Everyone who remembers him is asked to celebrate Abel's life in their own way. Abel would hope that you will do an unexpected act of kindness for someone in his name.
